Description: Do you need ALL your ribs?

33 acres of landscaped gardens. 45,000 square feet of on-park retail space. More than 10,000 fun, engaging, like-minded people. It is Utopia? The Garden of Eden? No—it’s where your new office is located, but only if you read on!

Our innovative client is looking for a senior-level Perl programmer. They are one of the UK’s leading estate agencies with over 60 branches, and they’re known for their dedication to driving change within their industry to improve the experience of their end users. Their belief in doing things a little differently doesn’t stop with their clients; they offer enhanced sick pay, a subsidized gym programme, and a strong parental leave policy with a generous shared parental leave system. In short, they’re looking for someone who would give their left rib for a chance at this job, but don’t worry—they’ll only ask that you are exceptionally comfortable with Modern Perl and have meaningful opinions about at least one Perl MVC framework.

Think this role sounds like Heaven? Not to worry—it’s a little closer to Earth. Located in Chiswick Business Park, this gorgeous office complex is accessible by underground or overground transportation. The Park offers decked boardwalks over a tiered lake with waterfall, pathways, an on-site Virgin Active gym, plenty of street-food vendors and restaurants, and all this among more than 10,000 of the UK’s finest folks who are lucky enough to work in this spectacular space.

Isn’t it time you worked somewhere that paid the bills, flirted with the edge of innovation, and offered you outdoor concerts during your lunch hour? If you’re nodding in agreement, send us an email today so we can get you on the one-way train to Paradise!
Desired skills: You’ll need to be very comfortable with Modern Perl, and that means you’ll need to have meaningful opinions about (and experience with) Moose, Plack, DBIx::Class, Test::More, and at least one Perl MVC framework

The company has a microservice architecture, so you’ll have strong architectural skills, think about problems in terms of APIs and queues, and have exposure to recent DevOps practices
