Description:	SDE II 12 mo. contract, w-2 with benefits from Day 1. Onsite in Seattle, WA The team is looking for a Software Development Engineer. who will act as first level support and development for all incoming production software application issues dealing with merchandising applications. Your solutions will impact our customers directly! Primary responsibilities include developing monitoring solutions, troubleshooting/debugging and implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, C/C++, JAVA), performing SQL queries, improving our systems that gather metrics on our features, updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges. Responsibilities also include working alongside development on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects, updating/enhancing our current software, automation of support processes and documentation of our systems.
Desired skills:	Must-Haves: •2–5 years of relevant software development experience •Experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Perl, C/C++, or Java •At least 2+ years SQL experience •Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field •Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work •Excellent verbal and written communication skills •Strong organizational and time management abilities •Ability to work independently with minimal supervision •Proven ability to maintain professionalism and perform effectively under pressure Plusses: •Experience with Mason and Perl CGI •Working knowledge of Oracle SQL •Experience developing with HTML •Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments •Desire to learn new technologies and expand software development skills •Exposure to a variety of software applications and development environments
