Job description

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining MultiSafepay's data infrastructure. Your primary focus will be ensuring that high-quality, scalable, and well-structured data is available to various teams within the organization. You will play a crucial role in optimizing data processes, managing databases, and setting up efficient data pipelines for seamless data accessibility.
What will you be doing?

• Develop and maintain platform built in Perl
• Set up, maintain, and optimize databases, data warehouses, and ElasticSearch indexes
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines for collecting, transforming, and storing data
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards
• Automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
• Work closely with data analysts, ensuring they have well-structured and accurate data for reporting
• Monitor and optimize database performance, resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies
Desired skills: Job requirements

• Experience with Perl 5
• Proven experience in data engineering or related fields
• Strong knowledge of ElasticSearch and PostgreSQL
• Postgres DBA (including logical and binary replication)
• Managing Elasticsearch clusters
• Kibana dashboards
• Data backup and recovery
• Data mining
• Proficiency in Java and Apache POI for handling structured data (optional but beneficial)
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline architecture
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize data performance
• Proficiency in English, with strong communication skills
