As a Software Engineer in MaskTech Systems Team at Micron Technology, you would help develop custom software applications to facilitate the design and manufacturing of photomasks for use in semiconductor fabrication. Your emphasis will be to apply the best-known methods to build sophisticated reusable software. Your responsibilities will include the support of existing applications as well as the development of new software systems involving databases, automation, and working with data science teams analyzing large datasets. You will collaborate with other Micron engineers and managers worldwide from groups including Production Engineering, Design, Reticle Manufacturing, and Process Integration. Responsibilities and Tasks: Craft and develop software, scripts, APIs, and web-based interactive reporting tools used by inside groups, applying the following skills: Resolve root cause of software issues and develop efficient and practical technical solutions. Grow skill and knowledge through mentor, advice, and training. Lead Development for large full-stack software projects. Mastery of multiple back-end languages (e.g. Python, Perl, Java) and front-end languages (e.g. HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery) Display competence in SQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL), relational databases, and data structures. Work with Linux command-line tools and environment Provide Ongoing Support of Software Tools Applied by Internal Groups Maintain and support current tools for our international MaskTech flow Address customer requests for improvements, support, and tools development Build and maintain Developer and User documentation Work closely with multi-functional teams and management Continually Acquire New Skills (Software/Hardware) and Knowledge: Stay on top of new technology, development tools, and development techniques Analyze new tools for advantages over current toolsets Additional Qualifications: Semiconductor industry experience preferred: Previous experience and/or internships at Micron or other related industries Global mindset to work with remote teams abroad Ability to effectively be compatible with a wide range of personalities Work in partnership with blended teams to understand needs and translate them into practical plans, work you're doing, and resource requirements Strong verbal and written communication skills Proven track record to collaborate well with team members and work towards results Excellent organizational skills and outstanding interpersonal and partnership Proactive and personality Good multi-tasking and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related course of study. 4 years of relevant professional experience Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related course of study. 8+ years of relevant professional experience About Micron Technology, Inc.
