Country: The Netherlands
Pay rate: Competitive salary based on experience

Terms of employment: Salaried employee
Hours: Full time

Description: Talk NLP to me

In 1954, a computer-translated more than 60 Russian phrases into English. Jaws dropped, eyes popped, and Natural Language Processing was born.

Our client is the worldwide leader in machine intelligence for matching people with jobs, which is to say that when it comes to hiring, they know what they’re doing. Applicants, bring your “A” game: they’re looking for a Natural Language Processing (NLP) Engineer who is passionate about Machine Intelligence and can evaluate NLP systems as easy as odin, dva, tri (or one, two, three, for non-Russian speakers).

Working with their crack team of data scientists and machine learning engineers, you’ll drive quality improvements, measurement standards, and error analysis processes for their in-house NLP framework. The goal is human-level parsing, and you’ll be sure they smash that goal through quality improvement projects, data mining, and tinkering with heuristics to keep the company at the forefront of their industry.

Perl pros, this role is for you, but only if you’re flexible. Don’t worry, no one’s going to ask you to do the splits, but they do want a Perl developer with text processing experience who is willing to grow into Python. While 70% of the current stack is Perl, that will decrease as they transition to Python, and you’ll have a role that shift.

So, you’ve got the Perl chops, you’re down with Python, and NLP is your jam. If you’ve got experience with (or keen interest in) NLP systems and a bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Computational Linguistics, you’re looking mighty fine and you’re likely wondering, what can they offer me? Glad you asked. How about free lunches, snacks, and bevies, Friday demos with a cold one, and a stellar location that is walking distance from the metro? Add on their annual week-long hackathon and the uber-cool team representing over 30 nationalities, and the question is, why don’t you work here yet?

To get in, send us your CV before this role says do svidaniya.
