Description: Do you ever look around the place you work and think, “It’s not bad, but what if I were on the Mediterranean? And what if there were piles of cool temples and ancient Roman ruins, and you could see the ruts carts made in the limestone over centuries of use?” Yeah—we all think that at one time or another, but now you have the chance to do something about it. If you’re ready to trade your four walls for a new adventure then pack your bags, because you’re off to gorgeous Malta!

A member of the EU, Malta’s culture is a fascinating blend of influences. Moorish, Italian, British, and don’t forget those long-ago Romans, Greeks, and Phoenicians. You can’t throw a stone without hitting some incredible piece of history, including megalithic temples and jaw-dropping cathedrals. Come to think of it, please don’t throw stones—the Maltese are known for being some of the friendliest people on earth, but even they might take exception if you’re launching projectiles.

Our client is a financial company whose growth over the last twenty years has been nothing short of impressive. They started with the idea that online trading should be available to all, and from there, they’ve built a company with multiple locations worldwide. If you want to be part of a business that is thriving, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.

The Malta office is looking for Perl developers with a strong exposure to Modern Perl – you’ll be comfortable with Plack/PSGI, Moose, and writing tests.

Surrounded by the dazzling turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea, Malta is known for its 300 days of sunshine, its comprehensive and incredibly inexpensive healthcare, its arts and culture, and the delectable cuisine. English is an official language, and all government documents are offered in English, so the transition to life in Malta is easy-as-pie. It’s also extremely safe and did we mention picturesque? Whenevery day is a postcard, there’s no reason to be upset, which must by what makes those Maltese so darn nice.

There are very few places in the world that offer the history, culture, and bonhomie of Malta. If you’re not in one of them right now, then drop what you’re doing and apply—when you’re gazing out at the Mediterranean from your new home, you’ll be glad you did!
Desired skills: Looking for Perl developers with a strong background in Modern Perl – you should be comfortable with Moose and PSGI/Plack, and a solid grounding in using Perl’s testing tools.
