Programming Opportunity:
We have an opportunity for you to exercise your programming skills. This is not the typical "bug-fixing" of an existing project, but rather an ongoing project with specific goals and continued development to extend features into the front end. Expect to put in 90-120 hours per month with reasonable PST daytime availability for working with a team via email/conference call. About you: You are mindful, detail-oriented and eager to integrate back-end systems by extending an existing Perl+Catalyst+Moose-based API to present functionality to the front end UI that is written in React. Most of the development is back-end based, but an understanding of front-end integration with some experience is important. Existing Moose and Catalyst experience is ideal, but at a minimum you must be comfortable with object-oriented programming in Perl and have experience with some type of MVC Perl framework. About us: We are a small Linux consulting firm located in SW Portland that provides support, maintenance, monitoring, backups and security to businesses around the US and beyond. Requirements: Have 3-5 years of Object-oriented Perl programming experience Have experience working in a Perl-based MVC Have experience with MySQL (DBI) integration with an MVC CSS and JavaScript experience required Catalyst and/or Moose experience ideal React experience is a plus Team player Eager to be productive and complete assignments timely Organized, you care about quality Questionaire: How many years of object-oriented Perl experience do you have?
