Started in 1995, TUSK is now used in 6 US medical schools and 11 universities in the developing world. As part of the USAID funded REPOND project in conjunction with the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, the Office of Technology for Learning in the Health Sciences, which produces TUSK is helping universities to respond to emerging pandemic threat.
