CoolerEmail, a leading email marketing service provider, is seeking a highly-qualified, motivated, and experienced Systems Administrator with an extensive background in Perl development and MySQL administration. Our business is growing, and we are looking for one key person to add to our organization. This person must be a good team player, an effective communicator, and someone who enjoys working in a flexible, fun, and focused environment.

Required skills:
|
Successful applicants will have:
* 5+ years managing complex, high-volume *nix networks
* Experience configuring, maintaining, and upgrading Apache, MySQL, qmail, NFS, and other standard *nix services
* Experience managing firewalls, load balancers, network storage devices, and monitoring software
* A dedication to maintaining the highest security in all aspects of work
* Experience with advanced Perl development, including writing modules and test-driven object oriented coding
All applicants must:
* Live in San Diego, CA
* Be willing to be paid as a contractor (1099)
* Have 20 hours per week to dedicate to CoolerEmail
* Have a car, be willing to participate in occasional offsite development meetings, and be on-call to visit the data center in case of an emergency
