Description:

Our rapidly growing Chicago based (Lakeview Area) Education Software Company is looking for a developer to join our group.
We provide K-12 educators with web based programs that assist them in raising student achievement by providing real-time access to student achievement data used to shape their instruction.
We are looking for someone with a passion for writing great code that can demonstrate exceptional programming and problem solving skills.
This person needs to be self-motivated and an effective team player.
Current development is mod perl / Apache.
Future development may be Java / Tomcat with heavy use of AJAX.
Experience in Java development would be ideal, but were willing to train someone that has strong object oriented development skills.
Experience in the development of data warehousing and data mining applications also a plus.

* 3 - 5 years PostgreSQL or MySQL
* 3 - 5 years Perl / mod_perl / Apache
* 1 - 2 years Javascript
