Open Mortgage is looking for an experienced web Developer to help maintain, expand and modernize our legacy mod_perl-based enterprise back-end office system that provides services for 100 branches in 30 states. We are transitioning this system to a modern web framework and infrastructure built on Amazon Web Services.

We also maintain a large WordPress multisite installation and several independent websites.

Applicants should be comfortable in a casual corporate environment and should be equally skilled at working with the technical team and technical vendors as well as office staff and system users. Benefits include medical, dental and long-term disability insurance.
Required skills: 3 years experience Perl-based web applications, preferably mod_perl/MySQL.
2 years experience Javascript client-side/front-end.
Strong written and oral communication skills; able to explain technical problems to non-technical personnel.
Desired skills: Prefer experience with Amazon Web Services (RDS/S3/EC2).
Prefer experience with Git SCM
Prefer experience with node.js
Prefer experience with Perl Dancer
Prefer experience with Agile methodologies
Experience with Perl retrieving external services, APIs, webservices a plus.
Experience with Catalyst, Moo, DBIx::Class a plus.
Experience with PHP/WordPress a plus.
Finance or Mathematics background preferred; BSc Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
