CargoTel, Inc., is a logistics and field-service SaaS company that is expanding its product offerings within the US and internationally. Our applications utilize object-oriented mod-perl, java script, HTML5, Web Storage, and PhoneGap to provide integrated web and wireless systems.
CargoTel is looking for an experienced development lead who can orchestrate the development of Version 2 of our systems. This is a unique opportunity that allows significant creativity with the benefit of drawing on proven technologies and a strong code base within the organization. Prefer Baltimore-area candidate but others in the tri-state area with right background will be considered. CargoTel is a YAPC sponsor and host of the Baltimore Perl Mongers. |
| Required skills: | Extensive Perl (OO, DBI, CGI), sql, HTML, java script, web services, mobile application development, postgres, linux, team player, source code control, disciplined development and release. Previous development management or team lead experience. |
| Desired skills: | DB modeling, systems administration, wireless apps including Android, Blackberry and iPhone, Rhodes, PhoneGap, C#, Java, Ruby, RFID, QR Codes, NFC, field service industry experience. |
