Programmer for Legal and Compliance Department of a brokerage and trading firm at our headquarters in Greenwich, CT. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience.
•Develop, test and maintain object-oriented PERL modules to support brokerage, trading and customer account surveillance.
•Design perl interfaces into various brokerage database systems using DBI and object relational mappers.
•Develop and maintain web-based system that supports the compliance supervision function. Knowledge of LAMP development is required and knowledge of dotproject is desirable.
•UML diagramming of existing production systems (including C++/C/JAVA) to support surveillance system design work.
•Perform occasional QA tests on new production systems.
•Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Information Technology is required.
•Knowledge of UNIX or LINUX based operating systems
•Knowledge of perl
•Ability to understand JAVA, C and C++
•Knowledge of SQL, preferably Oracle is required
•Basic knowledge of MS desktop applications
•Familiarity with perl testing module Test::More and an understanding of designing tests for perl modules;
•Familiarity with perl xml modules such as XML::Twig;
•Familiarity with test driven development and other design methodologies for developing reliable software;
